Cloud FMS

Cloud FMS (CFMS) is a system that helps connect Flight Management Systems (FMS) to authorized applications that pull data from the FMS.  These other applications are typically Air Traffic Control System (ATCS) apps used to manage traffic and traffic flows within the National Airspace System (NAS). CFMS is part of the “Connected NAS” concept. By implementing a Cloud version of the FMS of each aircraft and hosting them on commercial cloud services, ground automation systems can perform more accurate trajectory planning for evaluation and optimization.
