Mosaic ATM was awarded TO8 on the SE2025 contract for UAS C2 Link Validation. Working Group 2 of RTCA Special Committee 228 (SC-228) has been developing Minimum Aviation System Performance Standards (MASPS) for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Command and Control (C2) at the request of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) UAS Integration Office. The C2 Link MASPS development employs a top-down approach to define C2 Link functional interworking and performance standards with initial delivery in Q1 2019 and an updated version delivered in Q3 2020.
The functional interworking and performance requirements of the C2 Link will be derived from the operational scenarios and environment. An operational safety assessment will be performed resulting in the development of additional safety and security requirements. The interworking, performance, safety and security requirements will be published in the C2 Link MASPS. The C2 Link MASPS development process will be completed through validation and verification of the end-to-end C2 Link functional interworking, implementation of proposed safety and security requirements, and execution of the required C2 Link performance in calendar years 2019 and 2020.
This Task Order addresses validation of the C2 Link interworking, safety and security requirements, and the required C2 Link performance in the C2 Link MASPS developed by the SC-228.
